Whether at EvoTech or ObTech there is no comparison between you and 7--she is better suited to attacking the target, or escaping from it. Your most effective move is to assist her by restraining it somehow, holding it in place. But its form is made of light and behaves fairly realistically for light, to the eyes of a non-light-autistic. How can you capture light?
????-??-?? ??:??:?? Aydan > I need to stop light from moving!
????-??-?? ??:??:?? ÆON > I have analyzed this interesting problem. It seems on your surface it would be nearly unthinkable, though it has been done in lab environments. Your photons move as fast as their medium of travel allows. However, some natural phenomena such as black holes can trap light in one place due to their gravity distorting the spacetime your photons travel through, which distorts your perception of time when observing and measuring the photon’s speed.
????-??-?? ??:??:?? Aydan > time! that’s it. I can’t make something like a black hole but with your help I think I can ensnare light itself
????-??-?? ??:??:?? ÆON > My strength is yours, my friend.
You feel a touch deep in the back of your mind, a sensation felt just a few times in your life. Once when you were synced with Akiko, once when 7 briefly linked her sensory and mental imagery data to your own perception, and once when ÆON did something like a synchronization, combining your creativity with ÆR capabilities.
A white rim appears around your pale blue aura, and you feel a strong connection to ÆON. Acting fast, you string together a function call that seems absurd, but you are somehow sure it will work.
Two bright white tendrils manifest from the edges of the prism world, like light passing through its imperceptible hallways. They collapse inward on themselves into tight loops, each spinning very fast and linked together as a chain, and lash out at your target. They circle its legs, its neck, its wings, and tighten around its avatar from all sides, tying themselves into a complex knot, and finally joining their ends together. As they contract, their movement tears open black voids in æther space. The structure of the glass medium is bending to your will. But control over space is not what you need. You reach deeper and pull the substance of the empty black voids inside out.
The beast struggles against your snare. Its thrashing lurches slow and slow until it stands frozen in time. You can only perceive an echo of its last known position, so you will have to trust that the program worked.
