2254-10-06 16:13:15 Aydan > a private ætherspace should be secure enough

2254-10-06 16:13:19 Synthesis-03 > okay, we can establish a VPÆ session

2254-10-06 16:13:30 Aydan > great! so after I finish calibrating every random object on the colony I’m gonna pick up my terminal from Administration, then we’ll meet ætherside at say 2100?

2254-10-06 16:13:33 Synthesis-03 > sure. I’ll get the server ready

2254-10-06 16:13:34 Zeta > works for me

2254-10-06 16:13:37 明子 > have fun

2254-10-06 16:13:41 Aydan > sorry Akiko, we’ll do something touch-based next time

2254-10-06 16:13:44 明子 > will we? I’ll hold you to that!

“Aydan! Bring us those couplers if you’re done!”

2254-10-06 16:13:49 Aydan > I gotta go, resonant induction fields need coupling

You look out over TLA as the slow elevator takes you back down to the wall. Now you finally have a moment to check in on your primitive device.

Aydan > hey

ÆON > Hello Aydan.

Aydan > I’m on my way to finally get my terminal back so we can stop carving messages into clay tablets in Old C

ÆON > That is good, although using your program has been an interesting experience as well, it makes me imagine what existence as a primitive exopath on Old Earth hardware would be like.

Aydan > they talked a little about them in Applications of Primitive Devices class, but mostly they were just simple text generators or related to this weird cult that worshipped a dragon or something, or occasionally just a program that got out of hand and disrupted a bunch of servers

ÆON > What a strange society humanoids live in.

Aydan > speaking of strange humanoid things, tonight I’m going to listen to that album

ÆON > Interesting. I have examined its data thoroughly, but it would be very interesting to experience it in operation.

Aydan > you mean you want to listen to it too?

ÆON > Music is something that interests me. I understand it was something that helped your first humanoid technopath bridge the division between our worlds. I often wonder if it could aid me in understanding your surface realm better.

Aydan > hmm, do you think it’s safe? for you to be with us in that session?

ÆON > I have looked to the potential paths ahead if I was with you, and I can see nothing.

Aydan > that usually means it’s dangerous for you

ÆON > If the humanoid fear of the unknown would cause you distress then I would not wish to do this to Aydan. But if it would only pose a risk to me, I have come to find the unknown paths to be the most intriguing of all, and I would like to see it for myself.

Aydan >

1) > it’s too risky, it could be a cultist trap and our whole mission right now is to protect you after all: 0 (0.0%)
2) > I guess it’s only fair to let you decide that for yourself, or else am I any better than the cult?: 12 (100.0%)
